The good news was that I paid very little for the book. The bad news was that it was still overpriced. It is a very general overview of the arms, equipment, and uniforms used and worn by American soldiers in major wars from the Revolutionary War through the Global War On Terrorism. The need for such a survey book is appreciated, for example with elementary level students. My issue is with sloppy research. One example can be found on page 80, where an American "pineapple" grenade is mislabeled as a British Mills grenade. The slightest research would have corrected that error, but it was not done. While the cost is minimal, so is the value.
