We bought this book for our children for Christmas. Our kids are 4 and 2 so some of the text was a little above their levels. However, I love that you can choose how much of the text to read since there are letters and then the "12 Days of Christmas" component. (We skipped the letter with our 2-year old but read them later with our 4-year old). There is LOTS of great information about Illinois packed into this fun book. The illustrations are adorable and the text is very well written. We are very happy with this book and it is a nice addition to our Christmas library. It is fun to find a "Christmas" story/series that also teaches history/geography. I would definitely recommend this book to other families.
