I keep trying to find intelligent fiction on Kindle, and alternate history interests me. So, with very low expectations, I thought to try this title. Even with low expectations, this book was appalling. The usual signs of the amateur writer are there, as well as almost no plot or character development. It's just an uneducated political screed from someone very confused about how the world works.My only question is: Why would someone who understands NOTHING about a topic decide to write a book about it, and then go on to publish it? Is it just ego driven? Is the author just a Boomer with too much time on their hands? Who knows.This book is badly written by someone who does not understand capitalism, socialism, politics, sociology or even basic human behavior. Perhaps this is an AI-generated work. Really terrible.
