Well, since my pups can't speak for themselves, all I can say is that they enjoy having one of these in the afternoon. And I do mean in the afternoon. They don't want them in the morning, for some strange reason. But about three in the afternoon, they're eager to take them outside and crunch them up.What I like about them is that they have enough glucosamine and chondroitin to help their joints. Our dogs are ten years old, and although they aren't showing any signs of joint problems, it'll probably happen at some point. Since they wouldn't touch supplements for their joints, this is a blessing. Plus it has protein that's completely digestible. We're giving them these treats instead of some others that don't have as much benefit. Keeping them on chicken jerky, though. Dogs were meant to be meat eaters, and "real" protein is what they crave. What I don't like is that they're greasy. Which is why I'm so glad they want their treat outdoors. The odor? Cow hooves smell a lot worse, and they're kind of scary, too. These chews aren't that hard, so I'm not worried about what they might do to our pups' teeth.
