This is one of the best books I have encountered. A must read for every kid. Here is why:1. Connecting with your child: Every night, my daughter (11) and I read a President together. Each President has 2 pages that show their famous quote, the world at the time of the quote, the context of the quote and a fun fact. I love reading it with her as it allows me to explain the quote and answer questions and just really connect with her. As kids get older, you read out loud to them less often and this book is the perfect amount of reading and text and subject to continue this ever important practice. I really cannot stress how it has brought us together and how special this time is.2. Easily organized and not too advanced but not too simple. The way the book is laid out in text and visual is very digestible for a kid/tween/teen. It is not overwhelming and visually very appealing, yet also real and straightforward with the language. Kids are smarter than we think and this rises to their intelligence.3. It brings American History into the home. There is so much incredible information our children learn and sometimes, things get lost. This book easily educates our kids our on complete American History- not just the highlights. As you read through it, you feel the nation growing, learning, and developing into our country today. It is very comprehensive.My daughter and I love this book. It has furthered her love of our country and her interests in our Presidents (she finally has a favorite!). I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about our country, its leaders and its journey.
