Great listening all year round. As I mentioned in my review of another CD in this series, the variety in the arrangements is very listenable, and fun to anticipate.As a long-time concert band low brasser, I know "The Stars & Stripes Forever" backward, forwards, upside-down, in my sleep. And who among us has never whistled and air-played the piccolo obligato? These folks...they give it to the tuba. The bone adds punctuation. The clarinet gets the trills. I think John Philip Sousa would be proud.I especially like the medleys, with little snippets of different tunes thrown in. "Over There" ends with, "it's a long way/to Tipperary..." Civil War tunes, traditional regional numbers, and those stirring Boston Pops-type favorites...done up Dixieland style.Buy it.
