Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, J.S. Ondara fell in love with Bob Dylan and moved to Minneapolis Minnesota when he was 20 to pursue a career as a singer-songwriter. His debut album, Tales of America, is an examination of the American Dream from an outsider's perspective; an introspection on a universal matter. Lead singles "American Dream", "Lebanon", and "Saying Goodbye" have cemented J.S. as an NPR Slingshot Artist and a Rolling Stone Artist You Need To Know.
I purchased this LP album along with another this week. I saw this on new released and hopped on Spotify to check out the sound, and immediately fell in love with his voice and sound. This album and the other (Niall Horan - Flicker) came in. I opened Niall's and it skipped and sounded muted and bad. It was just a bad pressing. Then i put on J.S. Ondara's and what a difference. The sound off this vinyl is crisp and clear with no skips. A great pressing that lays flat. This is the first time i have heard of this artist, but i love his sound. I enjoyed every song on this album. I'm very happy with this purchase. Cover and inner sleeve arrived in perfect shape with no dents or bends.
