Although this series of films on Hollywood’s silent era has been around for many years it seem to be out of circulation for a long time so I was excited to find the series on Amazon Prime. A side note is that not all of the initial series of films are available. The quality of the video could of been better but I found the subject matter totally fascinating. Many of the silent stars interviewed passed away within a few years upon the release of the series. I strongly recommend reading Kevin Brownlow’s book “The Parade’s Gone By” to find even further information on the silent era of films.I will use this same review for the rest of the films in the series.
