The Bed Rail Fittings work great. They were easy to install on a loft bed I made for my Daughter.Notes from my install:Although not required I removed (mortised) a 1/16 of inch of the rail material in the shape of the flat rail connector this flushed up the fitting very well.I found that fitting the Flat rail fitting just inside the end of the rail 1/64" to 1/128" or less from end really added to a tight fitting once the rail and post came together. The L shaped fitting that goes on the bed post needs to be mounted on the face of the post and is easily done. I had some worries about lining up opposite ends and matching any curves/warps in the rail even if only minimal. I had my friend help me hold the rail level and in the correct position with the rail fittings connected and screwed with the safety hole to the rail while I marked the placement for the top screw hole on the post, did this to both ends pre drilled the hole and hung the rail on the single screw to enable marking the other holes. After lining / squaring the rail to the post. I marked the center points of the 2 lower holes on each post. Then removed the safety screws and lifted the rail away, thus leaving post bracket on the bed post with enough room to predrill and screw in / attach the post fittings on both ends of the bed. After that the rail slid easily back into place and with minimal force made a very snug fit.**Don't forget about using the safety screw holes these will help prevent the accidental disengagement of the bed rails from the posts.
