I give this lp a high 5. It is my favorite find from last year's (2013) collecting and in my top ten favorite lps of all time. It pulls some hard rock punches and breaks, lyrics are well sung and written, the songs are constructed well; tight band/sound overall. The LP is solid from start to the final note. I would compare it to a heavy "New York Psychedelic Sound" (meaning influenced by the Vanilla Fudge but on steroids- Many New York bands tried to sound like the Fudge such as The Tea Company, Gandalf, Group Therapy, but Third World AMP it to 11). The vocal harmonies work quite well in the presentation of sound. This was recorded at Electric Lady Land Studios. Jimi dug the band and was partially responsible for their foot in the door for recording. It is certainly a lost gem.I would give Mandrake Memorial's, Puzzle lp a 5 as well- That's how great Third World's LP is to my ears. This is an eargasm that you don't want to miss.
