I am not autistic, nor do I have any sensory disorders. I have insomnia in that I fall alseep easily, but have a hard time falling asleep if I am roused during the night. This blanket helps calm me and put me back to sleep. It is not the end-all-be-all of solutions, but combined with other sleep hygiene measures it has led to noticeably more restful and deeper sleep. I will also note that I got the recommended weight (10% of my weight plus 1 lbs) and it felt too light at first. In practice, however, when your body relaxes during sleep, the recommended weight is just perfect.
