They have a sharp point and long taper for easy entry in badly misaligned holes. The taper shank bridge reamer is commonly used in electric and pneumatic portable equipment. Actual size of the 3/4 reamer is .754 inches. I am very annoyed because I needed a slip fit for a 3/4 inch stainless steel pin. What I got was a sloppy loose fit.The 3/4 inch drill bit I was using did a more accurate job but drilling 3/4 holes in 11 gauge sheet metal with a hand drill is a recipe for a sprained or broken wrist.Cut very well in 11 gauge mild steel, left hand spiral and right hand cut evacuated shavings away from user.
